Next week is a short film festival called Tropfest, which is apparently the world's largest short film festival. A short film I edited the week between Christmas and New Year's has been selected as one of the 16 finalists. It's pretty amazing, considering that the festival received roughly 700 film entries. The odds for getting selected are pretty low indeed...
Anyway, the film has been selected and I get to go! Yippee!!!! I've never actually been before, fear of big crowds and awful short films you see. But this year I have got a VIP pass to sit in the Special Section at the front, so I'll be avoiding all the riff-raff :)
I wonder which big hollywood celebrities will attend this year? I hope Samantha Morton makes an appearance. She rocks.
